The mechanics of the game almost seem identical to Pokémon, as players are given a somewhat open world that they can travel in, but still have a mission to achieve and a vague outline of what they are supposed to do. The battle screens also somewhat mimic an early version of Street Fighter, and the controls are somewhat similar to it as well, but outside of that it is more like that of Pokémon or Legends of Zelda as mentioned before. The battle scenes between the characters are extremely like that of Pokémon, with the same font of script over the screen and same styled health bars displayed above the character.
